We are seeking a talented and driven Application Engineer to support the development and integration of joint modules for humanoid robots. This role is based in Shanghai and is ideal for an engineer with a passion for advanced robotics and a strong foundation in mechatronic systems.
The successful candidate will work closely with design, manufacturing and software teams to ensure the functionality, reliability and performance of the joint modules meet the demanding requirements of next-generation humanoid robots. You will be responsible for testing, validating and fine-tuning joint modules and collaborating on system-level integration. Experience in robotics, actuation systems and motion control is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and test joint module applications for humanoid robot platforms
- Support integration of joint modules into robotic systems, ensuring compatibility and performance
- Work collaboratively with hardware and firmware engineers to resolve design issues and optimise performance
- Analyse system behaviours and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical or control issues
- Create technical documentation, including test plans, procedures and reports
- Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in robotics or actuator development
- Strong knowledge of servo motors, sensors, gear mechanisms and drive systems
- Proficient in analysing control systems and implementing motion control algorithms
- Familiarity with ROS or similar robotic frameworks
- Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, data loggers and force sensors
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in humanoid robotics or high-performance actuator systems
- Knowledge of C/C++ and scripting languages for test automation
- Understanding of embedded control systems and real-time operating environments
- Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping tools and 3D CAD software
