We are seeking an experienced Application Manager to join our dynamic team, based in Hong Kong. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to manage critical compliance-related applications and projects, with a key focus on the Regulatory User Access Application (RUAA). The successful candidate will take full ownership of project and application management, collaborating closely with Compliance, Technology, and Data Analytics (TDA) teams to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and business needs.
The Application Manager will oversee application lifecycle management, including provisioning, monitoring, recertification, annual data deletion, software updates, patch and vulnerability management. You will analyse current systems, evaluate upgrade requirements, and coordinate with relevant teams to implement enhancements and new functionalities. This involves gathering requirements from compliance units and managing the end-to-end project planning and execution processes, ensuring that systems are configured and optimised to meet business needs.
In addition to leading enhancement and support activities, you will be responsible for production support and release coordination. You will continually monitor application performance, promptly addressing issues and ensuring overall operational stability. This includes supporting Compliance and the Compliance Insight Unit (CIU) in the review and refinement of dashboard reporting, as well as investigating data-intensive requests and aiding in suspicious or sensitive cases such as MCC incidents.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of compliance systems and enterprise application management. You will possess excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills, enabling you to act as a key liaison between the IT department and Compliance stakeholders. A proactive approach to driving process improvements and system efficiencies is essential in this role.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in application or project management, preferably within compliance or regulatory environments
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and application maintenance best practises
- Experience with monitoring tools, system optimisation, patch and vulnerability management
- Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to manage data investigations and generate insights
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity with governance processes including provisioning, recertification, and compliance reporting is highly desirable
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
