We are seeking a passionate and driven Business Development Specialist to join our fast-growing team in Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the expansion of a cutting-edge payments and FinTech platform dedicated to serving a wide spectrum of merchants, from micro-businesses to multinational enterprises. This position is ideal for a candidate with a passion for innovative financial technologies, client engagement and proactive sales strategies.
In this role, you will work closely with the Business Development Team to accelerate merchant acquisition and transform the brand into a leading name within the sector. You will be responsible for sourcing merchants across industries such as F&B, medical, and retail, converting them into platform users, and building lasting referral partnerships to drive sales. You will also support business development initiatives, maintain strong client relationships as a key account manager, and ensure an exceptional customer experience in collaboration with the wider team.
The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree or above and bring a minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in business development, sales, account management, or client success roles. A working knowledge of the payments and FinTech landscape in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area is essential. Strong communication skills, creativity, and a natural instinct for anticipating client needs are pivotal. You must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and demonstrate both strategic thinking and great attention to detail. Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is highly desirable, along with a results-driven approach to meeting KPIs and conversions. Previous experience at a leading payments provider or an existing network of merchants is an added advantage, especially if you possess a startup mindset and the determination to overcome challenges.
