Key Responsibilities

Strategic Advisory: Serve as a subject matter expert on ESG and sustainability, advising issuer clients on Sustainable Finance Frameworks, green bond structuring, and emerging regulatory taxonomy standards.

Mandate Origination & Pitching: Lead ESG-focused business development initiatives, proactively pitching and securing mandates as Sustainability Structuring Advisor on high-profile DCM transactions.

End-to-End Deal Execution: Collaborate closely with coverage and DCM execution teams to integrate ESG frameworks, sustainability-linked metrics, and green narrative strategies into deal documentation and roadshow presentations.

External Stakeholder Management: Own relationships with Second-Party Opinion (SPO) providers, credit rating agencies, and green certification bodies to ensure seamless validation and certification of ESG instruments.

Leadership & Mentorship: Guide, train, and mentor junior DCM team members on ESG structuring trends, regulatory shifts, and sustainable product innovation.

Corporate Initiatives: Lead sustainable finance initiatives across the broader corporate platform and execute ad-hoc strategic tasks directed by senior management.
Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Law, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.

Experience: Minimum of 7 years of dedicated ESG/sustainability advisory experience, ideally gained within a top-tier investment bank, securities firm, rating agency, or ESG rating provider.

Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of global and regional sustainable finance standards (e.g., ICMA Principles, LMA Principles, HKEX ESG guidelines, China Green Bond Principles).

Communication & Presentation: Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin is required) with exceptional executive presence and stakeholder management skills.

Tools: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). A collaborative team player with a strong drive to excel.
