Financial Lines Underwriter - Up to 50K (Mandarin speaker highly preferrable)

Role Overview:
This position is integral to the insurance underwriting team, focusing on assessing risk, providing quotations, and negotiating terms with brokers. The successful candidate will contribute to the company's growth by supporting business production and fostering strong relationships with key brokers in a fast-paced environment.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (mandatory), with proficiency in Mandarin highly preferred
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in Insurance, Banking, or Accounting
• Experience working with Chinese businesses is advantageous
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work harmoniously within the team and with external partners
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and good numeracy
• Results-driven and proactive in providing solutions
• Able to take initiative and demonstrate professional, upfront communication
• Willing to learn and explore how AI can enhance role efficiency
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle the basic underwriting of small to medium-size and corporate risks
• Support team with administrative tasks
• Provide quotations for broker limits and negotiate terms and conditions
• Share office administrative duties within the division
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key brokers
• Take accountability for own business production activities
Requirements:
• Fluent in English; Mandarin language skills highly preferred
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Insurance, Banking, or Accounting
• Experience with Chinese businesses preferred
• On-site presence requirement
