Role Overview
The Senior Associate / Vice President C++ Developer will join the electronic market-making engineering team, reporting to senior technical leadership. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining low-latency applications that underpin automated trading strategies. Success depends on delivering robust, high-performance systems capable of handling real-time data, execution, and risk management. Collaboration across traders, strategists, and engineering is essential to implement new functionalities and improve existing trading performance. The candidate will participate in system architecture, code reviews, and troubleshooting in production environments to ensure optimal operation of mission-critical systems.
Key Skills & Experience
- Lead the design, development, and support of high-performance C++ applications for electronic market-making.
- Build and optimise low-latency trading infrastructure, including data handlers, execution gateways, and pricing engines.
- Collaborate with traders and engineers to implement new trading functionalities.
- Develop monitoring tools to oversee system health, performance, and operational risk.
- Support exchange onboarding, market structure enhancements, and new business initiatives.
- Investigate and resolve production issues to ensure system reliability and scalability.
Requirements
- Right to work in the Asia region.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in relevant technical discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or similar.
- Extensive experience with modern C++ (C++14/17/20).
- Proven knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and concurrent programming.
- Experience developing high-performance, low-latency distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of Linux environments, networking, and system performance tuning.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose complex issues in production.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
