We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Equities Post Trade Application Support Analyst to join our Investment Banking team based in Hong Kong. This is a dynamic role that involves providing technical and functional support for post-trade applications in the Equities domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, combined with solid technical acumen and a proactive approach to problem solving.
The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the stability, continuity, and functionality of post-trade platforms, supporting the business in trade capture, settlement, reconciliations, and trade lifecycle management. You will work closely with traders, operations teams, developers, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, perform root cause analysis, implement fixes, and escalate as needed. A thorough understanding of the equities post trade workflow including clearing, settlement, and regulatory reporting is essential.
Candidates must have excellent analytical skills and the ability to operate effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with tools and technologies such as SQL, Unix/Linux, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) is required. Familiarity with production support tools like ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems is highly desirable. A strong understanding of FIX protocol, OMS/EMS systems, and key industry utilities such as DTCC and CLS would be beneficial.
We expect the candidate to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively across time zones and in collaboration with global teams. Experience working in an ITIL-based support environment with familiarity of incident, problem, and change management processes is advantageous. The role may require participation in weekend support and on-call rotations to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in an application support role within an investment bank or financial institution is essential.
