Marine Risk Consultant / Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for a Marine Risk Engineer or Loss Prevention Specialist. This role sits within a technical advisory team focused on supporting clients in reducing operational risks, improving vessel safety, and analysing marine incidents.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seagoing professional looking to transition ashore, or an experienced marine specialist seeking a client-facing technical role.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct technical reviews of vessel condition and operational performance
Carry out ship visits and onboard assessments to identify risk exposures
Provide practical risk mitigation and loss prevention advice to clients
Analyse incidents and claims to identify root causes and trends
Support technical handling of claims and complex operational matters
Prepare and deliver technical presentations, workshops, and briefings
Develop loss prevention materials and industry-focused publications
Collaborate with internal teams to support client engagement and business initiatives

Requirements
Exposure to shore-based roles (e.g. superintendent, surveyor, technical advisory) is advantageous
Strong technical understanding of vessel operations and safety standards
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders
Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous
