Key Responsibilities
- Assess and underwrite marine insurance risks in accordance with company guidelines and risk appetite.
- Analyze submissions, evaluate risk exposures, and determine appropriate pricing and coverage terms.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor portfolio performance and contribute to profitability through sound underwriting decisions.
- Collaborate with claims and risk engineering teams to ensure comprehensive risk management.
- Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Maritime Studies, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in the marine insurance industry. Candidates from underwriting, broking, claims, or support roles are welcome.
- Languages: Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
