Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned technology audit professional with a strong risk and control mindset to join our Technology & Architecture (T&A) internal audit team in Hong Kong. This senior-level role involves leading, managing, and delivering audits focused on technology infrastructure and architecture, including IT operations processes aligned with ITIL (e.g., incident, problem, and change management), asset management, and technology operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of hands-on experience in running technology operations and extensive technical knowledge of enterprise platforms, network infrastructure, databases, cloud services, storage solutions, and emerging technologies. Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves articulating complex technical matters in simple terms for senior stakeholders, drafting audit reports, and writing audit opinions for board-level reporting. The successful candidate will also coach colleagues, lead audit teams, apply data analytics using SQL, Python, Power BI, or Tableau, and drive innovation across assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with senior technology leaders to understand strategic direction and risks in the T&A domain.
  • Support the Head of Audit in identifying key risk areas and delivering enterprise-level audit reports and opinions.
  • Supervise and lead audits on complex IT infrastructure, ensuring quality and timely delivery of audit engagements.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to team members in technical areas and audit methodology.
  • Champion the use of innovative audit technologies, including data analytics and AI tools, in audit execution.
  • Validate issue remediation and monitor risk treatments across the audit portfolio.
  • Engage with business and transformation programmes to provide insights and support risk-based decision making.

Skills and Experience

  • In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure elements including servers, networks, storage, databases, and cloud architectures.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and controls.
  • Experience with regulatory and compliance requirements such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and SOX.
  • Strong proficiency in audit methodologies and tools, with experience in leading cross-functional audit teams.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capability, with demonstrable knowledge of data analytics tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau or Power BI.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to deliver complex messages clearly and concisely.
  • Proven leadership in managing teams, performance coaching, and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in technology operations with strong technical expertise across multiple infrastructure domains.
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CCSP, or relevant cloud and IT audit qualifications are highly desirable.

This position is based in Hong Kong and offers a competitive salary in HKD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
