Senior Manager - Finance Systems
The Senior Manager - Finance Systems plays a pivotal role in overseeing the finance systems team, ensuring the efficiency of existing finance processes, and managing system implementation projects. This position supports the company’s strategic initiatives by bridging IT and finance functions to optimise system performance.
The organisation is a financial services company, employing these systems to support its operations and growth objectives. This role involves collaboration with multiple stakeholders to facilitate seamless project delivery and issue resolution, ensuring continuous system improvement.
Role Overview
The Senior Manager leads the finance systems team in reviewing current systems, identifying process improvements, and managing end-to-end project implementations, including requirements gathering, development, testing, data migration, and go-live support. They serve as a key communication link between IT and finance departments, providing regular status updates to management. Success is measured by the effective delivery of projects, resolution of system issues, and the optimisation of finance systems to meet business needs.
Key Skills & Experience
- Lead the finance systems team in project management and support activities
- Evaluate and improve finance systems efficiency
- Manage end-to-end system implementation projects, including user requirements, developments, UAT, data migration, and post-go-live support
- Provide support and analysis for user enquiries and finance system issues
- Bridge communication and operational gaps between IT and finance departments
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, BIS, or related disciplines
- Solid SAP FICO functional knowledge is an advantage
- Experience in finance-related systems implementations within financial services companies
- Experience handling Cloud system projects such as Oracle EPM Cloud and RPA automation is a plus
- Project management experience in large and complex projects
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in business analytics, including managing and supporting production issues
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Fluent in both written and spoken English with good command of Mandarin
