The Senior Quality Manager oversees quality assurance processes to ensure defect-free products and services for original vehicle manufacturers globally. This role joins the company’s quality team, supporting manufacturing excellence and customer satisfaction.

Role Overview
The Senior Quality Manager leads plant quality teams to maintain strict shop floor quality standards. They manage non-conformance containment, lead root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure compliance with quality standards and launch protocols.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Lead plant quality team for daily shop floor quality assurance.
  • Lead daily quality performance indicator review, resolving issues through fast response actions.
  • Responsible for managing non-conformance containment and corrective actions (CAR, NCMR).
  • Lead problem identification, priority setting, 5W2H action plans.
  • Lead root cause analysis problem solving applying 8D problem-solving, 5-Why analysis, and quality tools.
  • Conduct LPA audits with respect to standards, working with cross-functional team members.
  • Lead the development, optimisation, and audit of process control plans.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement activities to reduce potential defects.
  • Participate in new product introduction Advanced Product Quality Planning and safe launch release.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily quality assurance activities at the plant level.
  • Review and act on daily quality performance metrics.
  • Contain non-conformances and implement corrective actions efficiently.
  • Perform root cause analysis and problem-solving using structured tools.
  • Conduct process audits and implement process control plans.
  • Support continuous improvement projects to enhance product quality.
  • Assist with new product launches through APQP and related activities.

Requirements

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Bachelor’s degree.
  • +10 years relevant experience in manufacturing quality assurance.
  • Skilled in APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA.
  • Experienced in problem solving using 8D, 5-Why, DOE, Six Sigma.
  • Strong practical knowledge of manufacturing systems and process technologies.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese.
  • Work location: Jiangmen, China (onsite, five days per week, with company hostel).
