We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our technology team as a Senior Measurement Manager. This role, based in Jiangmen, Guangdong, China, ensuring high-quality, precise manufacturing through advanced measurement technology and innovation. The position is divided equally between measurement services and innovation in automation systems.
The role reports directly to the Director of Quality and Manufacturing Excellence and is responsible for guiding the measurement laboratories and advising on technology to support component and tooling production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the measurement and release of in-house tooling and components, ensuring adherence to stringent quality standards.
- Implement advanced measurement practices to increase accuracy and precision across manufacturing processes.
- Provide expert guidance on in-process measurement systems including AOI, VMM, and contact systems.
- Drive adoption of new measurement technologies to optimise performance and efficiency.
- Integrate closed-loop data capture and analytical systems to enable data-led decision-making.
- Develop comprehensive data analytics and reporting structures to support continuous improvement.
- Manage the operation and strategic direction of measurement laboratories, maintaining up-to-date technology and skilled staffing.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous development within laboratory environments.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in quality or measurement systems, with a background in automotive or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in systems such as Automated Optical Inspection, Vision Measurement Machines, and precision contact measurement.
- Strong analytical capabilities focused on data collection, interpretation, and reporting.
- Proven experience managing advanced measurement laboratories.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
- In-depth understanding of automotive manufacturing standards and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience with closed-loop data systems and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Certifications in Quality Management Systems such as Six Sigma or ISO 9001.
