System Specialist (Window server)

Our client is a reputable organisation renowned for its commitment to innovation and excellence within the IT infrastructure sector. This role involves providing essential server support and managing critical infrastructure projects, making it vital for maintaining operational stability and security across the organisation's environments.

Role Overview:
This position is integral to the company's IT operations team, responsible for delivering reliable server support, managing infrastructure upgrades, and ensuring compliance with security standards. The role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, project ownership, and collaborative communication with internal and external teams.

Key Skills & Experience:
• Over 3 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, particularly within Banking or Financial Services sectors
• Strong background in Wintel system administration, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, RemoteApp, and patch lifecycle automation
• Solid troubleshooting experience in VMware environments and familiarity with Sangfor solutions
• Basic operational knowledge of Linux platforms
• Good understanding of cloud architectures, especially AWS or Google Cloud (preferred)
• University degree or equivalent in Information Technology or a related field

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for daily server operations across production and development environments
• Manage patching, system monitoring, capacity planning, and hardware/software evaluations
• Independently lead system upgrade projects and infrastructure replacement roadmaps
• Coordinate with internal Infrastructure & Operations teams and act as the main liaison to external Application teams
• Handle incident resolution, disaster recovery/BCP drills, and participate in on-call and weekend maintenance support
• Conduct security compliance reviews, maintain hardware/software inventories, and optimize operational procedures

• Experience in banking or financial services infrastructure
• University degree or equivalent qualification in IT or a related field
• Proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese); Mandarin fluency is advantageous
