We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Global Transaction Banking team as a Vice President, Cash Management & Payment Sales. Based in Hong Kong, this role offers a unique opportunity to lead client engagement in delivering innovative, client-centric cash management, liquidity, and payment solutions across corporate and institutional sectors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for originating and delivering customised cash management and payment solutions tailored to the needs of corporate clients, financial institutions, and multinational businesses. You will partner with internal stakeholders across relationship management, product, compliance, risk, operations, and legal functions to ensure seamless execution and delivery of bespoke client strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a portfolio of corporate and institutional clients, focusing on understanding client needs and identifying key opportunities in cash management and payment services.
- Drive solution-based sales by introducing customised services spanning liquidity management, virtual accounts, receivables and payables optimisation, and cross-border payment solutions.
- Collaborate with product and implementation teams to ensure solutions are effectively structured and delivered to clients within agreed timelines.
- Prepare and present client proposals, coordinate RFP responses, and support the end-to-end sales process.
- Monitor industry trends, client activities and competitor offerings to ensure market-relevant solution development.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk frameworks during all client engagements and transactions.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience within the banking sector, with a focus on cash management, payments or transaction banking sales.
- Strong understanding of global transaction banking products, including cash and liquidity management, payments, FX, trade finance and treasury solutions.
- Proven track record of developing and closing complex client solutions across various sectors.
- Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills, with the ability to engage at senior stakeholder levels internally and externally.
- Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Degree-level education in Finance, Business or related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACT, CFA) a plus.
- Sound knowledge of regional regulations and market practices in Asia-Pacific, particularly in Hong Kong.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is preferred.
