VP, DCM Syndicate, Investment Banking

Role Overview:
This position is responsible for handling the syndicate operations for DCM transactions, supporting pricing and book-building processes, and maintaining strong relationships with issuers and investors. It plays a key role in coordinating across teams to execute transactions effectively, ensuring compliance and facilitating successful outcomes.
Key Skills & Experience:
• University degree or higher in finance, economics, accounting, or law
• At least 5 years of relevant syndication experience within investment banking, particularly in the Chinese offshore USD bond market
• Experience in credit rating advisory or credit analysis is highly preferred
• Over 2 years of full-time working experience in Hong Kong or overseas is advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese; fluency in Mandarin is required, Cantonese is a plus
• Pleasant, presentable, and a good team player
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage underwriting syndicate operations related to the DCM business
• Provide market updates on offshore debt, including pricing recommendations, execution, book-building, and allocations
• Lead end-to-end pricing execution for major projects, conducting pricing meetings in both Chinese and English, and familiar with clearing and settlement processes
• Collaborate with the fixed income sales team for marketing and feedback gathering from investors
• Assist in deal execution and maintain relationships with issuers and investors
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by team leadership
Requirements:
• On-site, permanent position
• Good command of English and Chinese, fluent in Mandarin; Cantonese is a plus
• Experience in the Chinese offshore DCM market or credit advisory roles is highly preferred
• Based in or willing to work in Hong Kong or overseas
Nice to Have:
• Experience in IND Fin Sec/Brokerage, IND Bank Inv Local, or HKG RM DCM skills
