What you do
- Develop, manage, and monitor a portfolio of SME customers by providing appropriate commercial banking facilities.
- Conduct interviews with prospective clients to gather information about their business needs, desires, abilities, and earnings to identify opportunities.
- Perform credit activities, including credit appraisals, assessments, and annual reviews for existing bank customers.
- Grow sustainable revenues from existing relationships and expand the portfolio through proactive marketing efforts.
- Increase profitability and deepen relationships by anticipating customer needs and providing superior quality services.
- Manage risks within the portfolio by proactively developing strategies to align with bank standards and de-risk relationships.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analyses and risk assessments of potential borrowers to evaluate creditworthiness.
- Monitor the performance of existing loan portfolios and recommend actions to mitigate risks.
- Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes affecting SME lending activities.
- Provide exceptional support to SME clients throughout the loan application and servicing process.
Job Requirements
- University degree in Banking, Business Management, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3 years of sales and marketing experience in commercial lending within the SME sector preferred.
- Strong customer-facing experience, preferably in the financial services industry, with knowledge of wealth management products.
- Prior experience in commercial lending is an advantage; candidates with less experience may be considered for a junior position.
- Strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent sales and customer orientation, along with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build connections with clients.
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese; fluency in Putonghua is a plus.
