Compliance Associate Director

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Associate Director to join a leading organisation in the insurance industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, overseeing product compliance, and providing strategic guidance on compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage regulatory compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to local and international regulations.
  • Develop and implement compliance programmes, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure product compliance by reviewing product offerings and ensuring alignment with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and implement necessary controls.
  • Provide compliance advisory support to business units on regulatory and policy matters.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory authorities and respond to regulatory enquiries.
  • Lead compliance training programmes to enhance awareness across the organisation.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on business operations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address compliance-related issues and improve control frameworks.
  • Conduct internal investigations and ensure effective reporting of compliance breaches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in compliance within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance regulations and industry best practices.
  • Experience in product compliance, including product approval and regulatory filings.
  • Proven ability to interpret regulatory requirements and implement effective compliance strategies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and lead compliance initiatives.
  • Fluency in English and Cantonese is preferred.
