Role Overview:
The Actuarial Analyst plays a vital role within the company’s actuarial team, assisting with the development and maintenance of models, analysis of portfolio performance, and supporting financial reporting and capital exercises. The role involves collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure accurate modelling, data integrity, and process improvements that underpin strategic decision-making.

Key Skills & Experience:
• Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline
• Progress towards actuarial qualification (e.g., IFoA or equivalent) with a strong commitment to exam progression
• Experience in an actuarial or analytical role, including internships, graduate schemes, or industry experience
• Strong technical skills in Excel and at least one programming/analytics tool (e.g., R, Python, SQL, VBA)
• Understanding of reserving, pricing, mortality/morbidity, discounting, credibility, and risk measures
• Ability to communicate complex results clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• High attention to detail, numeracy, and methodical validation skills
• Comfortable working to deadlines within a regulated environment with governance and compliance awareness

Key Responsibilities:
• Support the development and maintenance of actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and experience analysis
• Analyse portfolio performance, claims, and lapse behaviour; identify trends and communicate findings
• Assist with periodic valuation and financial reporting, including assumption validation and documentation
• Contribute to capital, solvency, and stress-testing exercises, interpreting results and sensitivities
• Prepare audit-ready working papers, reconciliations, and model change controls
• Collaborate with data teams to enhance data quality, automation, and governance processes
• Support process improvements such as streamlining calculations and generating repeatable reporting packs

Requirements:
• Right to work in the specified location
• Ability to work on-site in Singapore
• Experience or qualification in actuarial science or related field
• Commitment to ongoing actuarial exam progress
• Familiarity with programming tools (R, Python, SQL, VBA)
• Knowledge of actuarial concepts and financial reporting standards (desirable)
• Experience with actuarial modelling tools and insurance products (desirable)
• Hybrid working arrangements may be available depending on business needs
